Working with Models

I value trust, honesty and morality and I hope this shows in my images.
This is such a complex subject but firstly, Im coming at it from the angle as a non professional photographer and I only regard myself as a non professional because I dont have a degree in it or shoot full time for a brand but I can most definitely hold my own with a camera.
Taking the above into account, Im working with non-professional and semi professional models who don't shoot in the upper echelons of Vogue locations with Creative Directors and big budgets so what I'm finding is, they have worked with some great people BUT far too many guys, (predominantly guys - that I wouldnt even say were photographers) have done, said or requested some very odd things.
Creativity is a non-stop learning curve and along the way, Ive reached quite a few conclusions that sit well with me and they are:
I absolutely want the model to feel valued, I will put in as much effort as possible to the creative process and I hope they do too.
Confidence flows like a river in models and sometimes they're glowing with it, sometimes, they have an off day but it is the photographers job to instil confidence in them.
I want to take wholesome, beautiful images that make them look great and me too (in a photography/ creative capacity).
I see it as my job to claw back these values and I urge all models to know their worth and not chase the money from the pockets of people that dont have their interests at heart.
